Sipat

Sipat is a small village 25 kilometers from Bilaspur, second biggest city in Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Lately, it has been in news due to a large power plant (2960 MW) coming up in the area.National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), the state owned power company is setting up the first 3 units of 660 MW power generators in the country. NTPC is also setting up other two units of 500 MW each totaling the generating capacity of the plant to 2960 MW.
