[edit] Fair use rationale

  1. Use of the school's logo will not harm commercial opportunities to use the logo, and will not reduce or supplant demand for merchandise which makes use of it.
  2. The logo is low-resolution and would not be of suitable quality for the production of pirated merchandise.
  3. A reasonable reader would not be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the school just because its logo is used.
  4. No free alternative exists or could be created.
  5. School logos are widely published and available in digital form.
  6. A school's logo is a widely used mark of identification for the school and serves an educational purpose as part of the public image the school portrays. It is as identifiable and important as the school's name.
