Talk:Siobhán O'Hanlon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Alleged
"She was alleged to have participated in the attempted bombing of Gibraltar (see Operation Flavius and Death on the Rock [9]). She was alleged to have been one of four PIRA members, but only she survived, as the other three (including Mairéad Farrell) were shot and killed by the SAS before the bombing could be carried out."
Was O'Hanlon ever tried and convicted for being the '4th' member? If not, than it's just gossip from a tabloid newspaper and shouldn't be on wikipedia.Bcsurvivor 23:06, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tidy Up
Edits made to make diacritical words (Siobhán, Féin) consistent. More importantly, editor User:Bcsurvivor has a habit of repeating pronouns and names within the same paragraph or page when it is unneccessary and, in fact, distracting. Sometimes duplicate text or info. is also repeated. I am not carping or nit-picking. I tidied up the text and please do not change until specific changes are discussed. - Instead of worrying about 'tidying up' the article, why don't you produce the external verifying references for your allegations about O'Hanlon being the 4th member of the Gibraltar group? I'm not finished 'tidying up' the article myself.Bcsurvivor 01:56, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gibraltar accusations should be deleted
It's obvious that even 'Hope Springs Eternal' doesn't believe that this person was involved with the Gibraltar incident so it shouldn't be on this person's wikipedia webpage unless wikipedia wants to defend itself against LIBEL charges.Bcsurvivor 02:16, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Having this tabloid Gibraltar accusation on this deceased woman's webpage is equivalent to having an accusation that she killed Princess Diana. It's absurd and hurts the credibility of wikipedia.Bcsurvivor 23:32, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

- Absolutly - the allegations should be deleted. It even bloody well points out that she wasn't blonde and didn't have a baby at the time said.Irish Republican 05:47, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
