Sioux Valley High School is a high school located in Volga, South Dakota.

The Sioux Valley High School was consolidated in 1960. Three towns, Bruce, Sinai, and Volga, consolidated and became the Sioux Valley School District. Today the school is located at 200 Hansina Ave. in Volga. At one point in time there was talk of a master school district that would involve the towns of Bruce, White and Brookings.[1] The school mascot is the Cossack. The school colors are blue and gold.

The school can hold 600 students.[1]

All the schools sports are in the class A division except for football which is in class 11B and golf and wrestling which are in class B.[2]

The following is a list of sports teams and various achievements:

  • Cross Country
    • In 2005 the Girls team placed 5th at state.
    • Also in 2005 Boys team placed 17th at state.
    • In 2006 the Boys team placed 5th at state.
    • Also in 2006 Girls team placed 7th at state.
  • Football
    • In 2005 the team had a record of 1-7.
    • In 2006 the team had a record of 0-8.
  • Volleyball
    • In 2005 the team qualified for states and placed 8th.
  • Girls Basketball
    • In 2006 qualified for regionals and lost to Hamlin.
  • Boys Basketball
    • In 2006 qualified for districts and lost to Flandreau.
  • Wrestling
    • In 2006 4 team members qualified for states. Student, Andy Benson won for his weight class.
  • Girls Track
    • In 2006 student, Heidi Quail qualified for states in the 1600 meter run
  • Boys Track
  • Girls Golf
  • Boys Golf
  • Cheerleading
    • In 05-06 won states.
