Talk:Sinn Féin Printing & Publishing Company

[edit] Categories
I've just undone the removal of most of the categories I'd listed for ythis article. A newspaper whose only raiseon d'être was to produce nationalist propaganda should most definitely be in the Propaganda Category for example. The fact that its board of directors was made up of influential Sinn Féin politicians (including a future president of Ireland) justifies the Sinn Féin Politicians category. The other categories can be defended just as easily.
Please discuss this sort of change before charging in and undoing careful work.--Stunion (talk) 09:45, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ah. I just removed a bunch of head categories from the article before looking on this talk page. I'll add it to Category:Propaganda organisations. However, please note the policy WP:SUBCAT: "In straightforward cases an article should not be in both a category and its subcategory." Hope this helps.
- I disagree about the Politicians category because that should list articles about people, not organisations. - Fayenatic (talk) 17:57, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll go along with all of that. It makes sense. The Book History Category was useful, though, as Newspaper and Printing History are both very much a part of this field.--Stunion (talk) 13:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
