[edit] POV

I'm trying to remove POV from this article.--DIGIwarez 16:30, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it's quite blatant. I must have missed it when I looked at the page yesterday. Thanks in advance. :) --Antorjal 16:38, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
I was editing this article and my computer crashed, I hope you'll be able do the job or else I would have to write the whole thing again, we need to add CPI(M)'s especially Buddhadeb Bhattacharya's point of view on the whole issue to make this article neutral. Of course opposition party's points should also be there, there are some here already.--DIGIwarez 17:07, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
I actually think it is hopelessly POV, so I'll delete the entire section and then from scratch we can write up the significance in NPOV. Take care. --Antorjal 17:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I think you are right, I'll check news websites for the source.--DIGIwarez 09:06, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Controversy

I have tried to present all the facts in a nutshell. However, if someone is keen to go into the details then a separate page should be created for that, as for example the Narmada Bachao Andolan. Those who add information are requested to provide references. -- P.K.Niyogi 07:10, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

To the best of my belief, any person who would look into an wiki article on Singur will, have his/her main focus on the controversies relating to the car factory so, it will be for best if details can be amalgamated within one page (of course if the article becomes too long then a sep article may be created) Legaleagle86 14:08, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

For day-to-day news please see Portal:West Bengal - both the news section and the archives. -- P.K.Niyogi 01:29, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tatas

TATA Group has been recently concentrating on land acquisitions. For instance, TATA Tea, a subsidiary of TATA group is already holding around 57000 hectares of land in Assam, West Bengal, Tamilnadu and Kerala[1], mostly obtained after clearing pristine forests of their natural resources. TATA Tea has even offloaded its stake to a private group in Munnar in Kerala[2]. The company is facing an investigation in Kerala after it was observed of appropriating unauthorised state territory[3]. Critics point out that if such events happen how can a legitimate government regain ownership and control over such lost territory and how can any government trust such a corporate group.
