[edit] Moving

Whoops! I thought this was for the single replacement cipher scheme, so I renamed it appropriately. I fear that I have created a problem here as this appears to be a chemical reaction with which I am unfamiliar. - CHAIRBOY () 17:01, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Last paragraph/ Sentence

The last sentence in this article sounds like an item taken off of a chemistry teacher's list of objectives.

Typically, you will be given the left-hand (reactant side) and asked to provide the products to the reaction. You need to be able to recognize single replacement reactions AND be able to break a formula apart into proper cations and anions as well as write correct formulas

Consider removal?

[edit] Moving II

Unless there is any opposition I will move the article to Single replacement reaction' which seems to match the contents better. Avalon 05:12, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I will do merge, "displacement" is more common and used more in the history of chemistry. --Sadi Carnot 16:36, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
