Sinshih, Tainan

Sinshih (traditional Chinese: 新市鄉; pinyin: Xīnshì Xīang; Wade-Giles: Hsin-shih Hsiang; literally 'Newmarket') is a rural township in central Tainan County, Taiwan. Its historical name was Sinckan (新港, Singang, literally 'Newport') and shares the same namesake as the Sinckan language and Sinckan Manuscripts.
Part of Tainan Science Park, which was founded in 1996, lies within Sinshih.
