Singarakonda is a spiritual spot in the Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh in India. Singarakonda is located near to Addanki mandal.
Singarakonda is famous for two reasons. One is Lord Hanuma is located in the down stares and Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple is located on the hillspot. The Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple as per the available literature was built in 14th Century AD. It was built and developed by King Devarayalu.[1] SIngarakonda Tirunalla which celibrates each year in the Month of March is one of the famous festivals where people from all sections across the nearest districts come and participate. 2008 Tirunalla is going to be celibrated on 21st March. Electrical Prabha's are very famous in this occation.
Singarakonda is located very near to Addanki mandal.[2] It is 290 km from Hyderabad, 110 km from Vijayawada, 36 km from Ongole and 5 km from Addanki. Lots of travelling ways can be found from Addanki to Singarakonda. The nearest Airport is Vijayawada. Nearest Bus station is Addanki. Buses from Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Ongole to Addanki are available. Nearest Railway station is Ongole. All the express trains and passenger trains going from Hyderabad & Vijayawada to Chennai stop at Ongole.
