From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Singapore International Water Week is an international conference and exhibition for the water industry. The first one will take place in Singapore from 23 to 27 June 2008. It will include the Water Leaders Summit, a meeting of representatives from governments, utilities boards and businesses. [1][2] In addition, Canadian researcher Andrew Benedek will be receiving the first Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize, given annually for contributions in solving the global water crisis. [3][4]
Singapore International Water Week 2008, which will focus on sustainable water solutions for cities, will take place alongside the World Cities Summit, a conference on the sustainable development of cities, as well as the East Asia Summit Conference on Liveable Cities. Other global water conferences include World Water Week in Stockholm.
