- Mimar Koca Sinan ibn Abd al-Mannan aka Sinan, or Mimar Sinan, (1489 - 1588), Turkish architect.
- Atik Sinan aka Sinan the Old (d. 1471), also architect, born in Byzance,
- Sinan ibn Thabit ibn Qurra (ca. 880 - 943 Bagdad), Arab doctor, mathematician and astronomer, and son of Thabit ibn Qurra.
- Ibrahim ibn Sinan (908 - 946 Bagdad), mathematician, and son of Sinan ibn Thabit ibn Qurra.
- Sinan County, Guizhou, in Tongren Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China.
