SINGULAR is a computer algebra system for polynomial computations with special emphasis on the needs of commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, and singularity theory. SINGULAR is a free software under the GNU General Public Licence. Problems in non-commutative algebra can be tackled with the SINGULAR offspring PLURAL. SINGULAR was designed by Gert-Martin Greuel, Gerhard Pfister and Hans Schönemann.
