Welcome!

Hello, Simplywater, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

The above is a generic welcome message :), but the part about signing messages is useful, there is also a button in the edit bar that inserts that those characters. (this is of course only for talk pages). About the God article, it is semi-protected, which basically means you will be able to edit very soon, I think you need to be registered for 4 days. This is to protect controversial articles from vandalism. About inserting material into many pages, it should not be a problem unless you keep putting material back in when somebody else finds it disruptive or irrelevant. Then, you can paste it on the talk page, and explain why it is relevant. Be bold but civil, and you will have nothing to worry about, and again welcome! --Merzul 14:31, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your wide interests and religious persuasion

Your interests run the full gamut of Christianity and beyond. I noticed that you made extensive edits on the article on Mary Baker Eddy. I added a lot to the section on Quimby because so much has been misunderstood about Eddy's relationship to Quimby and noticed that you made extensive edits to that section. Many anti-CSists point to Quimby as her ultimate source for Christian Science and I take issue with that opinion. As much as I do NOT like about the Gill biograpphy of Eddy, she certainly puts to bed a number of myths about Eddy's relationship to Quimby and the extent of her alleged borrowing from him. I'm still reviewing the edits of the past year as I've been away from the article. I also introduced the article on William R. Rathvon one of the early directors of her Church and a guy, who as a nine year old child, actually heard Lincoln give the Gettysburg Address and lived to actually make an 1938 audio recording of his experience. Are you a member of any particular faith or denomination? I'm the original writer who put all those long quotes from Eddy on and to Quimby because they reveal a lot of information on Eddy's relationship to Quimby. Eventually, I hope to put out a separate article on Eddy and Quimby. Perhaps, I'll just transplant those quotes to that article. Also - please sign your comments with 4 tildes (~) that way we know who "you," Simplywater, are. Thanks (I'm following this with the 4 tidldes so you now see --> SimonATL 01:47, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphan Tag

Hello Simplywater, I placed an orphan tag on Mary Baker Eddy Library. If you could add links to other articles, please do so. Then promptly remove the orphan tag. Thanks! Ohmpandya (talk) 22:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
