[edit] Lol

You can delete this comment if you;d like, but I did laugh out loud when I read your most recent "reversal of vandalism summary" for the Harry Potter: Book 7 page... ("Yup, you caught me, I'm secretly JK Rowling and because YOU told me to hurry I'm going to publish it tomorrow. Retard. Oh, RV Vandalism.") Just thought I'd let you know... Emily 02:09, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm glad you thought it was funny, I certainly did. Simondrake 02:25, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I don't mind...

I don't mind that you copied and pasted my user page, but if you don't mind I'm going to transfer your comment to my talk page, because it's in the middle of my userboxes. Ok? Emily (Funtrivia Freak) 16:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] wow, demanding

uhh, not sure if there was sarcasm or not in there, but, uh, thanks... plus, thats not what i really said, but, whatever floats your boat... -Xornok 03:57, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox migration

You can find more information at WP:UM. Basically, it has to do with some people believing that (most) userboxes belong in "user space" and not in "template space". Peter O. (Talk) 23:14, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Unprotection

I just copied and pasted the title from the article... -- Steel 16:15, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Love Torpedo

Notability for bands is established according to the policy Wikipedia:Notability (music). The article doesn't assert that the subject meets any of the listed criteria. Thanks for asking. —Swpb talk contribs 23:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent user warnings

It's probably best not to bite the newbies too hard (such as this edit among others), even when they're vandalising. The best way to warn users about vandalism is to substitute one of the predefined user warnings (see WP:UW). I know they can be frustrating, but being uncivil, even to vandals, tends to escalate things further. Using predefined warnings allows other editors to quickly see what warnings the vandals have received already. Also, please don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages with 4 tildes (~~~~). Cheers, Chovain 23:29, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not use such vulgarities on Wikipedia. It is offensive, inappropriate, and completely unnecessary. If I see such edits again, you will be warned for vandalism. — Chris53516 (Talk) 14:23, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

I have blocked you for one week for this edit. This is absolutely unacceptable here. Friday (talk) 04:57, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

The edit summary here is unaccetable also. If you return to editing, you must be more civil. Friday (talk) 05:03, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block is over

Just over a week ago I, Simondrake, reverted some blatent vandalism and posted on the IP address talk page "Stop Vandalising wikipedia or I will send someone to your house to rape you...in the arse." Granted, threatening to rape someone is innapropriate, but I think having two people warn me and then a third person block me (For a week where the guildlines suggest 24 hours for a first offense and say it should only be done if the violation is repeated after a 'final warning' template is added to their userpage which was not done) is a bit of an overreaction. It's over now so it's in the past but I thought I'd lodge my complaints. I should also note that I made an innapropriate joke when chastising an unregistered vandal. However, I have seen people make repeated violent and racist death threats to several dozen registeres users while having literally no constructive edits and their contributions being either abusive personal attacks covered in profanity or vandalism. How come the racist guy insisting with profane language that he'll shoot everyone who disagrees with him gets repeated warnings before a half hour ban whereas I get warned and then banned for a week for one (Conciderably less severe) offense?Simondrake 09:05, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

You threatened to perform an absolutely disgraceful act against another user. At the very least, you need to keep in mind that the person on the other end might not have seen the funny side of it. Based on the edit you were warning the user about, there's a decent chance you made that threat against a child. I still can't decide if the block was too harsh or not harsh enough. Best bet is probably to move forward, having learnt something from the experience. Chovain 12:13, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Do I know you?

I may be very wrong, but I`m pretty sure I`ve seen the name Simondrake somewhere before, though I`m not quite sure where. You may know me as swiftnova, swiftnovice, spinmywheels, jamio or plebmonk...have we met somewhere else? Reply to my talk page if you can be bothered. Plebmonk 07:31, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

I live in Surrey, but I`m still in high school in Wallington, so I`m not from your uni. Your name just rings a bell for some reason...do you play warcraft 3 by any chance? Plebmonk 01:35, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, there really are alot of Americans around, and they always insist on using their "correct" spelling. Very annoying, someone should standardise it or something...oh wells, nice meeting you! Plebmonk 06:23, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Surrey Stingers

I would appreciate it if instead of just marking this page for deletion (which I did not create, I only use as a reference point for my own web site) you could come up with some ideas to improve this page, as it is the only one with the history of the Surrey Stingers on Wikipedia.Jskivington 17:39, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

FYI, I respect your position (though I disagree) on the Stingers page, but please note that the hostile tone you take with anyone that disagrees with you does not assist you or your arguments. Sometimes it's not what you say, but how you say it. Just my two cents. Masonpatriot 21:03, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Association of Members' Advocates/Requests/February 2007/Jskivington

Hi Simon. Jskivington has requested assistance with regard to Surrey Stingers and your nomination for deletion. I see that you are very strong in your dislike of this article, and it looks like you are taking this issue personally with your posting of details on your user page. Hey, nothing is that important. Articles get posted on Wikipedia all the time. Some are notable and some are not. Sometimes it is difficult to judge, and there needs to be a discussion. Whichever way the discussion goes, it is best for your Wiki sanity and stress, to be able to let go and move on. You've put it up for discussion. Now people will look into the matter and give their opinion. My own view is that the team is very minor, but given that they are part of this: British Collegiate American Football League, and that the article forms part of a very complex whole, the nomination to delete is unlikely to succeed. An argument might be put forward that all the teams should be mentioned as part of the parent article - however, there is already enough information on each of the teams to justify a split off. The amount of information on the League is sufficient to justify its existence on Wiki. The only debate would be as to how the information is organised. And it seems from looking at the matter, that the information is organised in the most helpful manner at the moment. If you'd like to chat the matter over with me, you can contact me on my talk page, or by email. Regards SilkTork 22:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abortion comment

Yea looking back i probably should have kept it to myself, i just thought if people are so eager to contribute to an encyclopedia they can grasp the simple concept of what a legitimate source is, and that shit like that can just open the flood gates to vandals and dumbassery. But yea thanks for the heads up ill try to keep cool next time.

[edit] thank you

Thank you for the "back watching" thing - I've never seen it before! Bubba73 (talk), 00:38, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
