[edit] Image:Pan Am Lives!!!.jpg
Welcome to Wikipedia! I think if you upload that picture again without the exclamation points we'll be able to use it. Also, you need to indicate where the picture came from and if it's in the public domain. If you took the picture, you can place it in the public domain yourself! Bollar 00:59, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the additonal Pan Am images! You need to update the license information for them, or I'm sure someone will request they be deleted. As an example, here's an image I uploaded yesterday, so you can see what documentation I used: [1] Bollar 18:49, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Pan Am images
Hello, could you be able to note the source and copyright status of the following images: Image:Clipper ORION III.jpg and Image:Clipper in Santo Domingo.jpg? Otherwise, these images could potentially be deleted. Thanks. Pentawing 01:30, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Pan Am Lives!!!.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Pan Am Lives!!!.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Longhair 08:22, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Username block
You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username.
Alternately, you may request a change in username if you want to keep the contributions from this account. To do so, please follow these directions:
Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked. You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request before you may be re-blocked. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use; do not create the new account then request a name change. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is much easier to create a new account. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.
If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.
You cannot have the name of a public figure. Keegantalk 04:17, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Apologies for just the quick template, I was following up on a few things at once. I know that you have had this account for a couple years, but could you please just change usernames? Your contributions will go with you. Thanks, Keegantalk 04:56, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:A nous les Garçons (Michel Lang Valerie Allain) 1984.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:A nous les Garçons (Michel Lang Valerie Allain) 1984.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:57, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Valerie Allain.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Valerie Allain.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:50, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Power Girl Amanda Conner.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Power Girl Amanda Conner.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
