Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page List of Xbox 360 games do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Dirk Beetstra T C 08:19, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding edits made to HD DVD
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Sim0n20! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule allreleasedates\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 08:52, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wine
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Wine. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. VanTucky 19:20, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
The non-profit tax status (which was not independently verified) of an organization does not make its website not spam. The site did not provide information that was not already covered by Wikiproject Wine articles, and as it sells wine and other products, is clearly defined as WP:Spam. I did in fact browse through all major sections of the site before deciding as such. You may want to review the page WP:EL, which explains Wikipedia links policy, as you seem to have a history of adding links unfit for inclusion. Thank you VanTucky 19:39, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Christmas Spam
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Rhobite (talk) 22:34, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
