The Lion King: Simba's Mighty Adventure is a video game based on Disney's animated film The Lion King. The title was published by Activision in 2000, and was released on Game Boy Color and PlayStation. Unlike the previous The Lion King video game, it adhered more closely to the events in the film (although not sticking to them entirely) and the storyline carried on into The Lion King II: Simba's Pride with Simba having to rescue his daughter Kiara and battle Zira. In the Playstation version, Simba was voiced by Cam Clarke, and Scar was voiced by Jim Cummings.
This game was the only console-based platformer to involve The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. All other games based on the title were educational or puzzle games and were released on the PC.

[edit] Game Boy Color
In the Game Boy Color version of the game, there was only one piece of level music. Some of the animation for both adult Simba and cub Simba was recycled from the previous The Lion King video game.
During levels, Simba can collect star-shaped tokens.

The first level of the game where Simba journeys through a grassy, rocky area to find Zazu.
The design of the level is similar to the first level The Pride Lands of the previous title.

Simba journeys through the waterhole to evade Zazu so he can travel to the Elephant Graveyard with his friend Nala. He has to avoid and jump on frogs and monkeys and avoid falling into the water.

[edit] Stampede!
Played in a similar way to the Stampede level of the previous title, the camera looks down on Simba as he run and jumps left and right across the gorge to avoid obstacles and the oncoming wildebeest.
[edit] Simba Finds Nala!
Skipping straight to Simba as an adult, the level involves Simba running through the jungle fighting jackals and baby hyenas. At the end of the level, Nala attacks you and has to be defeated.
[edit] Defeat Scar!
Simba has to make his way through the fire ravaged Pride Lands to find his uncle and battle him. At the end of the level Scar falls off a ledge into the fire below.
[edit] Save Kiara!
The beginning of the levels based on The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Almost identical to the "Stampede!" level, Simba has to run across marshland while avoiding objects and oncoming crocodiles.
[edit] Plains of Fire!
The Pride Lands are set ablaze. Simba travels through defeating leopards and hyenas and avoiding water.
