Simone da Bologna

Simone da Bologna was an Italian painter of the 14th century period. Also called ‘’Simone dai Crocifissi’’. He was born in Bologna and trained with Franco Bolognese, as his contemporary, Vitale da Bologna (active 1320-1345). He painted frescoes in the church of San Stefano and San Michele in Bosco.
