Terry has appeared in one Olympic Games. He appeared in the 1992 Games.
In the 1992 Summer Olympics in both the Individual and Team Events he won a Bronze medal for Great Britain.
In the Individual games he was beaten by Sébastien Flute of France and Chung Jae-Hun of South Korea. In the Team Event Great Britain was beaten by Spain and Finland.
Terry has since retired from international competition.
After 13 years of retirement from archery Terry begun shooting again a few years back and has since achieved very high placings in major international events including the Team Gold at the World Cup 2007 stage 2 in Varese and an Individual 4th place at the World Outdoor Championships in Leipzig, Germany being beaten by his fellow team mate Alan Wills in a thrilling tie break where Simon scored a 9 and Wills took the Bronze with a 10.
Another one of his success's was at the 4th Stage of the 2007 World Cup in Dover, England when he was victorious against the young Mexican archer Juan Rene Serrano. Serrano scoring an 8 in the tie and Terry scoring a 9.
