[edit] Biography

Simon grew up in Stratford-Upon-Avon with fellow band member James Righton. They were in the band Hollywood Is A Verb together in 2004, alongside members of Pull Tiger Tail, before forming Klaxons with Jamie Reynolds. Simon attended Stratford-Upon-Avon High School, where he was head boy, before moving on to study fine art at Nottingham Trent University, where he met Jamie through a flatmate.[2]

[edit] Klaxons

In Klaxons he can be recognised by playing unorthodox riffs and for using a lot of pedals to give a synth-sound to the guitar. The band also have nicknames for Simon such as "Captain Strobe", "Data Re-entry" and "Biscuits" as displayed on their myspace page. In one edition of NME, Simon was voted 'Most Likely to become Prime Minister' out of a list of several band members. He uses a Fender Jazzmaster and a Rickenbacker 300 series for live shows. His Fender Jazzmaster was featured in the "Atlantis to interzone" video. He plays left handed versions of the guitars.

[edit] Personal life

On 21 September 2007, it was revealed that Lovefoxxx from CSS and Simon were engaged to be married.[3] In April 2007 during Klaxons North American tour in Seattle, Washington Simon got the name "Lovefoxxx" tattooed on his left hip, his first and only tattoo. Later in June 2007, during the CSS tour of North America Lovefoxxx had Simon's name tattooed on her right hip (also in Seattle, WA)[4].
