Simon Russell (born 1985-03-19) is an English professional footballer who plays for Kidderminster Harriers as a midfielder. He formerly played for Hull City.
[edit] Career
Russell began his career as a trainee at Hull City, where he made two substitute appearances for the club.[1] He was released by Hull in the summer of 2004 and was signed by Kidderminster Harriers manager Jan Molby, who described him as, "...[having] a tremendous engine and is likely to pop up with a goal or two."[2] He has made over 130 league and cup appearances in four seasons at Kidderminster,[1] despite a broken wrist that ruled him out for three months of the 2005–06 season[3] and a thigh injury that ruled him out of the beginning of the 2007–08 season,[4] and is the club's longest serving current player.[5]
