Simon Mannering (born August 28, 1986) is a New Zealand rugby league player for the New Zealand Warriors. His position of choice is the second row but he can also play at centre. In 2006, he was selected for the New Zealand Kiwis international squad for the 2006 Tri Nations tournament.[1] He played in every game of the series for the Kiwis and was named Rookie of the year for the Kiwis.
Thus far he has played 62 career games for the Warriors, scoring 19 tries. Former New Zealand Warriors Captain Kevin Campion has written that Mannering may become one of New Zealands' greatest ever players.[citation needed]
He is from Motueka and was educated at Nelson College.
Mannering was also one of the nominees for 2007 New Zealand Rugby League Player of the Year.
