Simon Heslop (born May 1, 1987 in York, England) is a professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Barnsley. Simon was brought up in the city of York, attending Huntington School which he left in 2003.
In 2005, he had a loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers playing 22 league games and scoring once[1].
On November 16, 2006, Heslop joined Conference National side Tamworth on a one month loan[2]. He made his debut for the Staffordshire club two days later against Woking, in which The Lambs won the game 3-1.
After extending his loan deal with the Staffordshire club, Heslop returned to Barnsley following the of the National Conference season. He made his first appearance as a substitute for The Tykes against West Bromwich Albion in the 7-0 drubbing.
He was again loaned to a Conference club in September 2007, this time Northwich Victoria, then the following month he was loaned to Halifax Town.
