Simon Hendrik Spoor

Simon Hendrik Spoor (Amsterdam, January 12, 1902 - Batavia, May 25, 1949) was the military commander in the Dutch East Indies from 1946-1949, during the Indonesian National Revolution.

In 1923 Spoor joined the Royal Dutch East Indies Army. He was also a teacher at the Dutch Military Acadamey. In 1943, he became director of the Dutch military information service (NEFIS) in Australia. After the Dutch re-occupation of the East Indies, he lead the two Dutch military "police actions". General Spoor died unexpectedly on 25 May 1949.
