Simon Goddard

Simon Goddard is a British music journalist and author.
In 1997 he began writing for UNCUT magazine, later joining its editorial staff. He quit UNCUT in 2006 and continues to write as a freelancer for various other UK publications including Q.
Goddard has also written a book on British indie band The Smiths, entitled Songs That Saved Your Life, which analyses in depth the making of every one of their songs, both released and unreleased.
He has also written various sleevenotes for artists including Nico, Siouxsie & the Banshees and Billie Davis, and directed the promo video for Edwyn Collins' 1995 single "If You Could Love Me".
