Simon Gipps-Kent

Simon Gipps-Kent (25 October 1958 - 16 September 1987) was a British actor, well known for his television work as a child in the 1970s. He died in September 1987 of morphine poisoning, in a suspected drugs overdose.

His notable television credits include: the young boy Stephen in the 1973 BBC television adaptation of M.R. James Lost Hearts; The Tomorrow People; Young Pip in the 1974 television adaptation of Great Expectations; To Serve Them All My Days; and as Seth in the Doctor Who story The Horns of Nimon. For a time he also played Kenton Archer in the long-running BBC radio serial The Archers. His last television role was in the pilot episode for the long-running comedy series Blackadder.
