Simon James Gillett (born 6 November 1985 in Oxford) is an English footballer, currently on with Southampton.

From August 2006, he spent three months on loan to Blackpool. It was with the Fylde Coast club that he scored his first league goal, on September 12, in a 1-1 draw with Chesterfield at Bloomfield Road.[1] The following month, on October 21, he was sent off in the Seasiders' 2-1 win at Crewe Alexandra.[2]

On 23 November 2006, he moved on loan to Bournemouth until the New Year.[3]

On 30 January 2007, Gillett returned to Blackpool on loan until the end of the 2006-07 season.[4] On May 27, 2007 he came on as a last-minute substitute in the Seasiders' League One play-off final victory over Yeovil Town at Wembley.[5]

On 20 September 2007, he joined Yeovil Town on loan, initially for a month.[6]

He made his Southampton first-team debut as a 90th-minute substitute in the 1-0 victory over Leicester City on 11 March 2008.
