Simon Collis

Simon Collis is British Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic (from October 2007).

Simon Collis was educated at King Edward VII School (Sheffield) (from 1967 until 1973 - photo) and Christ's College, Cambridge.

He has held posts in Bahrain, Tunisia, India, Jordan, Dubai, and Basra (Consul General, 2004-2005). He took up his present post after being Ambassador to Qatar (2005-2007).
