Simon Bowthorpe

Simon Peter St.John Bowthorpe, born London (1964), (grandson of British Industrialist Jack Bowthorpe, C.B.E., Founder of Spirent Group), educated at Eton College and Schiller International University before working at Grey Advertising and Young & Rubicam in Madrid, Spain. In 1993, he founded talent agency Creative Management Group and at the end of 1994 founded Mediaplus, [1] the first European media agency that allowed clients to buy advertising space with their own goods and services. In 2001, Bowthorpe left the company to become a championship Spanish dressage rider, winning silver medals at the Madrid finals in 2002 and 2003.[2] In 2003 he founded Media Force, S.A. [3] with well known Sevillian socialite, Teresa Prieto Parejo and developed the business in the United States and United Kingdom under the Media Force One brand name.[4] [5] Much an adventurer as a businessman, Bowthorpe is a well known figure in the worlds of SCUBA diving and parachuting. He is believed to be unmarried with no children. He is a member of the United States Parachute Association [6], the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain[7],the Professional Association of Diving Instructors[8], the Anglo-Arab Horse breeders Sociey [9] and the Royal Spanish Riding Federation. {Category: Entrepreneurs}
