Simon Bayliss played bass for the ska-punk band [spunge] before leaving and eventually being replaced by Martin Holt. It is rumoured that he is the inspiration for the song 'Ode 2 Slimy Bassless' on their first album, Pedigree Chump he wrote upwards of 50% of the songs on this album.
He then went on to record an Album with the highly acclaimed Whippasnappa entitled Indestructible. This band came to a split in late 2000 and since then he has written hundreds of songs he then sells to other artists.
Some of his songs and short stories can be found at http://www.pissteeth.com. which are inspired works to say the least. He can be found on most weekends on the dancefloor of various Cheltenham drinking establishments displaying his award winning air guitaring skills.
He has recently joined a new band with former Whippasnappa guitarist Matt Earl aka Heavy Matt Earl ex dangerous babies / whippasnappa and Ex Stampin' Ground Drummer Ade( adrian ) Stokes .
