This image, Simpsons_panorama.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Kidicarus222) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

it is a low resolution screenshot from an episode, taken from a DVD of the show;
it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the DVDs in any way;
the image is significant because it provides information about the Simpsons opening sequence that cannot be better explained with words.

I made this image from digitally editing together frames from the opening sequence using Photoshop.
