- Hi there. Your article reads well, like that of a polished editor. Keep up the good work. I'm also a crime writer here at Wikipedia and no doubt we'll pass by each others work a lot over time. Welcome aboard. -- Longhair 07:30, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lee Joyce Dunbar
LEE JOYCE DUNBAR (N.S.W. Sydney) Born: July 1953 age 53 (2006) Convicted Paedophile: Sentenced in the NSW District Court in May 1996 to 15 months jail (non parole). Dunbar was a Physical Education Teacher for 20 years until forced to resign in February 1996. She pleaded guilty to having sexual intercourse without consent and two acts of indecency which involved digital penetration and cunnilingus. The sexual abuse took place over a 20 month period between 1981 and 1983. The victim was a 14yr old girl who was Dunbar's student at Beacon Hill High School at the time. The court heard that on the first offence took place when Dunbar initiated sex with the student in the back seat of her car at Oxford Falls. The girl said she was nervous and scared and didn't think she had asked Dunbar to stop. The abuse continued until the student discovered that Dunbar was interested in another girl.
[edit] Natalina D'Addario
A VICTORIAN teacher faces six sex-related offences allegedly committed against one of her year 10 students. Natalina D'Addario, 36, was removed in September (2005) from a secondary college and suspended without pay when the allegations were revealed. D'Addario appeared in court yesterday (Dec 13, 2005) for the first time since being charged by police last month on summons. The offences are alleged to have occurred between May and July this year in Ascot Vale and Dallas, outside the grounds of the secondary college, which is in an outer north-western suburb of Melbourne. D'Addario, of Kensington, is accused of committing three acts of sexual penetration with a child aged under 16. She is also charged with wilfully committing three indecent acts by participating in oral sex with the child to whom she was not married and who was under her care, supervision or authority. An investigation began after the boy complained to police. D'Addario had joined the college in term two this year as a part-time language teacher and was upgraded to a full-time position in term three as a temporary replacement for a colleague. A spokesman for the Department of Education told The Age that when the allegations were made, she was immediately removed from the classroom and suspended without pay. D'Addario was ordered to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on February 10 (2006) for a committal mention. A police hand-up brief of evidence has been served on her lawyers. As of the 25/07/06 Judge Roland Williams jailed her for 18 months -- and then suspended all but four months of the term.

Hey Tiffany (or may I call you Tiff?) you're right. There was a mistake about her age. I guess someone (maybe me) got an "F" in math (smile), Thanks alot for pointing the mistake out. Take care, Tony the Marine 04:41, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cindy Leanne Howell
SilverWings, with regard to the article Cindy Leanne Howell, could you please reference it as soon as possible? When writing about living people, it is very important to reference articles as extensively as possible. Thanks. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 11:19, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re Heidi Choat
No problems. Don't worry, I don't need a Style Guide reference. I use the News Limited style guide for journos at work. I personally do not care one way or the other which style or which reference system is used so long as articles which make serious allegations about living people are adequately referenced. I have known people who have been sued for defamation because of articles they've written and I feel very strongly that proper referencing is very important. Regarding the statements I feel should be cited, I fact tagged the section and I think it pertained to comments allegedly made by the judge. I could not find these in the articles I have, but I did not have time to do any further research. Just so you know, i felt the concluding paragraph was well written, but not encyclopaedic. Thanks for your message. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 13:15, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] smh article
Dear SilverWings,
I'm working on a story about female school teachers having sex with their students, particularly in the Australian context. It's a piece for the Sydney Morning Herald News Review - more of an essay really (rather than anything investigative), and partly inspired by the new film Notes On A Scandal. Am doing a lot of research and noticed your comprehensive submissions to Wikipedia. Was curious about your interest in this area and your broader thoughts on ethics, morals, whatever. Would love to talk with you on the phone if possible. I can be contacted via usyd.markmordue@hotmail.com —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dastgah (talk • contribs) 06:18, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Invitation to Join WikiProject Crime
Would you like to upgrade from an honorary member to a full member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Criminal Biography? Your work on sex crimes is greatly appreciated. I also think being a feminist you could add a great deal to our project particularly in the field of the all to common crimes against women. Jmm6f488 07:03, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Sarah Jayne Vercoe.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sarah Jayne Vercoe.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Longhair\talk 08:11, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
