After I created Here Comes the Sun (disambiguation) page, I went to add it to the Here Comes the Sun article. I made my change, saved, and everything seemed fine, so I went off to do other stuff. It wasn't till today that I noticed the change wasn't in my recent contributions list. So I went to check what happened, and found that you'd apparently made exactly the same change, letter-for-letter, and saved it while I was still editing, so my edit was ignored as a non-change. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before! Pretty cool. Go team! :) Xtifr tälk 21:10, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Html to TeX
Hi. Thanks for converting html to TeX at Cauchy sequence. I would like to note however that per the math style manual such conversions are not really necessary. HTML works just fine for inline formulas (which may otherwise become rather ugly PNG images) and while it is nice to have all formulas in the same format rather than a mixture, mass conversions to TeX are probably not worth the effort I would think.

- It seems that using TeX provides more semantic information than HTML alone can provide, which is why I converted them. In addition, anyone who wishes to see simple formulas in HTML (as I also do) can use the Math preferences to do so. But, I guess a policy already exists so nevermind. -- SilverStar★ 22:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- I see your point. I don't feel very strongly about keeping things in html either, both html and TeX seem to work fine and perhaps don't need converting. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:47, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
SVG
I noticed your SVG graphic at Feynman diagram, and thought maybe you can answer my question. I would like to create SVG images. I use Adobe Illustrator, but when I save as an SVG I have problems with greek fonts not showing up. That's the only thing really stopping me, which is why I've stuck to png.
Do you recommend using a different illustrating program, or maybe there's a greek font I can use? JabberWok 07:03, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I use InkScape, but have the same problem as you mention about greek letters not rendering. The single greek letter in use in the gluon radiation diagram (the photon's gamma) was actually drawn freehand, and doesn't use text. -- SilverStar★ 07:11, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Econ diagrams
Hi, thanks for uploading the great econ diagrams. I noticed while working on some econ stuff at the Korean Wikipedia that these diagrams had been uploaded to the English Wikipedia and not to Commons. Would it be possible for you to move them to Commons so that other wikiprojects can use them as well? Thanks. --Yuyudevil 00:53, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Fiji coup
Hello there! I've had some correspondence with the author of the edits to which you are objecting in the 2006 Fijian coup d'état article. I made the mistake myself of reverting some of his edits earlier on, but I've ascertained that he's actually a law professor at Auckland University, so he knows what he's talking about. It goes without saying that a law professor knows a lot more about the law than you and me together, so we'd be wiser to leave that section alone. David Cannon 00:22, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- I am not doubting the "truth" of the content added, however when phrases like "consensus of legal opinion" and "provoked comment from a number of observers" are used, sources must be cited, per WP:V, which is why I added [citation needed] and removed phrases that had [citation needed] but were not sourced. In the future, I will leave the [citation needed] phrases in for a while longer before removing them. -- SilverStar★ 02:11, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Change to Common.css
Per recent discussions, the way in which Persondata is viewed by Wikipedia editors has changed. In order to continue viewing Persondata in Wikipedia articles, please edit your user CSS file to display table.persondata rather than table.metadata.
