[edit] License tagging for Image:Dom Dutch Budgie.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Dom Dutch Budgie.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:09, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Dom Dutch Budgie.jpg
Hi, if I may comment on your picture, since it seems to detract from the budgerigar article. It appears that there was an inappropriate use of flash for this picture, causing the data for the front of the bird to lose information, becoming a solid yellow. The image is slightly washed out, with low contrast on the face. The background is dark and dirty. There seems to be an innapropriate glow from the bird. It is not in sharp focus, and there is high image grain in the background. It doesn't really add to the article, so I've requested its removal on the Budgerigar talk page. The article has enough pictures, anyway, but even if it would need a picture to illustrate color mutation, there are better pictures for that use at Budgerigar colour genetics. I hope you understand that this is an encyclopedia, not a place to show family pets, so we welcome you to include beneficial pictures to articles. Thanks, Althepal 03:57, 18 May 2007 (UTC).
