[edit] Song to the Siren (Tim Buckley song)
The lyrics were the only thing in the article, so unfortunately that cannot be restored due to copyright issues. You can write about the song itself, but you can't include the lyrics unless you are quoting a small part for purposes of analysis. You would also need to show how the song is notable — for example if it was released as a single and appeared on a major chart. Hope this helps, ... discospinster talk 16:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Liverpool pages
Thanks for your suggestion, I am still somewhat a novice not enough time to work on the rules. With citations where does it start how many are required? I don't know how to link them. The Liverpool Vauxhall page is a lot down to me so if this is the right way then maybe I am half way there. I'd still need help to be honest ! Dmcm2008 (talk) 08:38, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thanks for the contact. However, there's no animosity between myself and Dmcm2008; we had a content dispute a long while back, but it's all done-and-dusted and, I believe, we now have a productive relationship. --Jza84 | Talk 21:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

- No problem,
-
- I hope you and Dmcm2008 can help bring some of these Liverpool-related articles upto scratch between you; I'm surprised to see Liverpool in such a poor condition (which is a shame for such a great city). I'll be happy to help where I can. If you take an interest in writing about places, WP:UKCITIES is probably your best starting point. Best of luck! --Jza84 | Talk 19:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Anfield
Hi. Yes, all I changed were those few terminal periods in the caption non-sentences. I was planning to do a peer review, and sometimes just fixing a couple of things takes less time than explaining them. I'm glad you're doing the copyedit, and I'll just go ahead with the peer review. Thanks for the heads-up. I've made so many other promises that I'll have to pass on the copyedit of Jeff Buckley. Finetooth (talk) 02:15, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- I finished the peer review just now and posted it at Wikipedia:Peer review/Anfield/archive2. You're most welcome to look at it to see what I had to say. I did some more light copyediting as I went. Collaborative effort tends toward better articles, and your help is certainly welcome. Finetooth (talk) 04:35, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for reviewing Bloc Party. As you've seen, the requests for reviews are many. Your help is certainly appreciated. Finetooth (talk) 17:34, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] JB
I removed a couple facts [1] from the Jeff Buckley article. Not that I don't think they're probably accurate, just that "citation needed" tags can cause an article to fail a GA review. dissolvetalk 01:42, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your Dr. Dre image
Thank you for uploading an image of Dr. Dre. Unfortunately, in case you didn't know, the Flickr image is actually copyright infringement, which Wikipedia prohibits in content. See WP:NFCC for details. See AllMusic.com for its original source; you might need to click the "previous" or "next" buttons to find the image.--Andrewlp1991 (talk) 04:00, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Liverpool
Please see WP:PLACE#Counties of Britain. The infobox is solely for the current city info so historic county has no place in there. It is acceptable to mention that it was historically in Lancashire within the lead section of the article but not in the infobox. See the third paragraph of Manchester for an example of what is acceptable and notice there is no mention of Lancs in the infobox. ┌Joshii┐└chat┘ 02:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Georgi Kinkladze
Following the failure of the FAC nomination for Georgi Kinkladze, I have opened another peer review in an attempt to get the article ready for a second nomination. As you commented on the FAC, I would value your opinion of whether the issues you raised have been resolved, and details of any further issues you have. Oldelpaso (talk) 13:55, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Dr. dre article.
Hi. Sorry about mentioning that the Jerome Young death was "off-topic" by using the "coat rack" essay to illustrate my point. I do remember reading about it in Ronin Ro's Dr. Dre: The Biography book, but I can't verify it because I don't have a copy of the book near me now, and the book isn't on Google Books. I think that any editor who can find a reliable source for it is welcome to do so now. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:46, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- P.S.: Yes i realize now that i went too far with the "coat rack" thing. And thanks for putting up the samples. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 00:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- No Problem, Great work on the article btw. - Guerilla In Tha Mist (talk) 11:59, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Jeff Buckley article
Sorry about that. Unfortunately I don't know enough about either of those things to start up the mentioned articles.
Good luck with them though! Philip.t.day (talk) 09:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Liverpool
Yeah that is a shame. Unfortunatly I don't have much time to work on articles anymore. DoyleyTalk 11:57, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] MLB 07: The Show - bugs
That looks fine, a couple of examples and cited links for further reading is enough to cover the issue without going into too much detail. Exxolon (talk) 18:23, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Buckley
I didn't actually forget to re-add the reflist, I'd just put it in the wrong place it seems. :) I wasn't sure whether the influences edit was vandalism or not - it certainly seemed pretty reasonable, just unsourced. Also, thanks for the edit on the MLB 07 article - an infinitely better way of dealing with the section. Much appreciated. Regards, AllynJ (talk | contribs) 04:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Noted, I'll keep an eye out. And don't worry, I didn't take it as such. :) Regards, AllynJ (talk | contribs) 14:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Would you mind if I
started a Jeff Buckley discography article? That way the discography tables, unreleased songs and tributes can all be transferred wholesale there, making the parent Jeff Buckley much more concise and less listy. We'll then add a {{main}} template and leave only the studio albums at the parent article. See: Nirvana or Pearl Jam (just a couple of FAs from the top of my head) indopug (talk) 17:35, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly, I don't know a lot about Jeff Buckley; I just saw his article at GAC and thought it was very good. I felt it could be easily made better by just shifting stuff to make it concise. As for your questions:
- The band/musician article, ie Jeff Buckley, should only contain a list of his studio labums and their year of release. (like the articles I pointed out above). I guess that would be Grace and My Sweetheart.
- Discography articles normally make any mention of reissues and re-releases, because they are never really that important as compared to the original record. So just the additional track-listing at the album's article is enough.
- yeah the tribute songs can be deleted (since they don't belong at his discog as they aren't by him). I think unreleased recordings would be fine at the discog since Nirvana discography has such a section.
- the documentaries don't seem to notable so they can be deleted as well. Amazing Grace is already mentioned in the article.
- I think the Live at Sin-e articles should be merged. indopug (talk) 18:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
