[edit] 4?

I think that the 4 should be changed into IV, just like the other series of Silent Hunter. - Pvt. Green 12:13 GMT February 4, 2007.

  • That is not the official title of the game, as you can see from the box art. Therefore there's no reason to change it to IV.

The release version of the box art doesn't have a 4, roman numeral or otherwise.

It is 4 it does not have any roman numeral. --SkyWalker 08:57, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

My box does not have a number or a roman numeral, either on the box or the manual. The splash screen for the game has the number on it. --Yamla 14:06, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism

WP:CRYSTAL It seems odd that this article has a criticism section when the game hasn`t been released yet. Ghostieguide 23:18, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

It seems especially odd that the criticism subjects includes the setting in the Pacific, when the original game had the same setting.

Whether or not the criticism is justified in your eyes is not a criteria for inclusion. The Criticism section details criticism, valid or not, that is deemed notable, and the game developers surely did receive a notable amount of flak for their decision to make Silent Hunter 4 a Pacific simulator. --Safe-Keeper 10:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

My own critism of this game, would be that it's buggy and unreliable. Okay some of that could be because I'm running it on windows2000 when it says XP or Vista only, but there are some stupid features and bugs which I'm totaly sure aren't because of my OS. Even silly things like it being full of spelling mistakes. To me, it seems they've made a game with the graphics as the priority and everything else a distant 2nd. -OOPSIE- 21:13, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Supposed "Hollywood graphics" screenshot

I've removed it - it's not an in-game screenshot (it's actually a picture of a U-boat from Silent Hunter III) and doesn't show the filter described by the caption. Fivepast 14:47, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
