Silvio Smalun (born November 2, 1979 in Erfurt, Thuringia) is a German figure skater who has competed in men's singles. He won the gold medal at the German Figure Skating Championships in 2001 and again in 2003.

Silvio Smalun started skating with the age of 5. He first was coached by Ilona Schindler. One of the member of the training group was Stefan Lindemann. In 1995 he went to Oberstdorf and was there coached by Michael Huth. Due to his studies he trained also in Ulm without his coach.
2006 Silvio Smalun almost qualified for the Olympics coming in 8th place at the Europeans. He was not nominated despite he was better placed at this Europeans as his rival Stefan Lindemann, who was nominated.
In autumn 2006 Silvio Smalun participated in Katarina Witts show „Stars auf Eis“ (similar to „Dancing on Ice“) on the German TV-station Pro7. His partner here was pop-singer Lucy Diakovska (No Angels). The pair came in 3rd position despite Silvio Smalun has never been a pair skater.
Silvio Smalun studies Computer science at the college in Ulm. He finished his amateur career in September 2006.
