The Silverton Wind Farm is a proposed wind farm to be build in far western New South Wales by renewable energy group Conergy. The wind farm would involve the installation of about 500 wind turbines north-west of Broken Hill.[1][2] The large wind farm should have the capacity to generate electricity for 400,000 homes, and could be completed by the end of 2009. However, uncertainties with government energy policy may delay the project.[3][2]
