Silver Culinary & Consulting began in 2001 as a niche culinary service offering unique Chef / Medic services. It being the only such service offered in Canada, SCC pioneered the term "Chef Medic".
The entrepreneur, Darren Johns began the operation as a huge need began for term contractors in remote exploration / expedition & any niche client. Satellite phone technology mated to a laptop computer allows for real-time logistics handling. Most recently in 2006, Silver Culinary serviced a corporate group in the Columbia Icefield staying on a glacier for 6 months. In 2007 SCC began working with an Arctic Marine Expedition company that operates in the Canadaian Arctic, Greenland, and Spitsbergen.
The business has serviced the US Navy as clients also, seeing a fast attack nuclear submarine, and a few ships such as an anti sub frigate, and an Aegis class destroyer. The world is a dynamic & and ever changing sphere, and SCC makes sure those in that sphere are looked after in the highest degree[neutrality disputed].
