Sillo Mahava is an actress who played the role of Mrs. Gomes in the Indian movie, Black. Black was a movie based on the life of Helen Keller, featuring Ayesha Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. The movie was based on the Hollywood movie, The Miracle Worker which shows the struggles faced by Anne Sullivan in teaching Helen Keller. Mrs. Gomes was the housekeeper and seemed to spoil Michelle McNelly, the protagonist played by Ayesha Kapoor and Rani Mukerji (when she was older, Ayesha was the depiction of Michelle as a young, defiant girl).
