Silas Atopare

Sir Silas Atopare, GCMG (born 1951) was the Governor-General of Papua New Guinea from November 1997 until November 2003, preceding Sir Paulias Matane.
Atopare is a member Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1998, he was knighted in the Order of St Michael and St George.
