Sil Campusano

Silvestre Diaz Campusano (born December 31, 1965, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), better known as Sil Campusano, is a former Major League Baseball player.

Campusano both batted and threw right-handed, as an outfielder. His first season was for the Toronto Blue Jays, in 1988. He played 79 games and had 142 at bats. He got 31 hits, 14 runs, with 2 home runs, and 12 runs batted in. He sat out the 1989 MLB season, then signed with the Philadelphia Phillies, in 1990. He accumulated 18 hits in 66 games and 85 at bats. Again he hit 2 home runs and had 9 runs batted in. In 1991, also for Philadelphia, he played in 15 games and got 35 at bats. He hit a home run in this season. In his career, he hit a total of 5 home runs.
After leaving major league Campusano enjoyed a prosperous career in Taiwan, playing for the Wei Chuan Dragons(1994~1996) and Chiayi-Tainan Luka(1997~1999).
For obscure reasons, Campusano's nickname was 'The Earwig'
