[edit] Description

Self made screenshot of a Silverlight application ( http://www.wilvelight.net/mscom/ ) executing in Mozilla Firefox.

[edit] Fair use rationale

Both the softwares and the application is copyrighted but their use is allowed under U.S. fair use laws because:

  • it does not claim to limit the rights of the copyright holder.
  • it does not assist in illegal reproduction of either of the components shown in the screenshot.

Because Silverlight is a runtime, to be visually identified it needs a host ( a browser ) and a running application (a rich internet application). So, even though the screenshot shows a browser and a web application to identify something other than themselves, it is irreplaceable.
