[edit] Rewrite?

  • The information density is way too high, and in my humble opinion more than half of it is not notable.
  • The formatting is awful.
  • Spelling. Grammar. The works.

I'd do it myself if I knew anything about the subject, but I don't, and this article isn't helping. ABoerma 20:09, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Quite agree: it was a total disaster. I've fixed it up, but there's a lot more work to be done here. Some decent references would be a start. There was some extreme POV about how men who didn't wear sikhas were exhibiting a "Hindu slave mentality" (actually, 'salve', but I think that was a typo) under the oppression of Muslim Mughals and the British, too.
