Sihuas District is one of ten districts of the province Sihuas in Peru.[1]
The district of Sihuas is a Peruvian district of the ten that conforms the province of Sihuas in the Ancash Region. It is located in the southern zone and central of this province and one is crossed by the Rúpac river.
The creation of this district is previous to the time of independence when this territory comprised of the then department of Tarma.
In this district the city of Sihuas extends that is the capital of the province. It has an extension of 61.57 kilometers square and one approximated population of 5,028 inhabitants.
