Talk:Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Name
I'm surprised by this article, because as far as I know Sigurd's given-name was Snake-in-the-Eye. This is of unknown meaning, but may be associated with his cunningness, a trait that was considered a virtue in the likes of Odyyseus and the Norse god Loki.
This may prove to be of interest. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/viking_way/
- In Danish, he is called Snogøje (Snakeeye) as well as Orm-i-øje (Wyrm/Snake-in-the-Eye). --dllu 17:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Manga
I really don't think the manga/anime part belongs in this article. It is a very obscure reference at best. --dllu 13:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
