Significator (astrology)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In astrology, a significator refers to a planet or a sign that is said to rule specific objects, places, people and diseases, which are called "significations". Not to be confused with a "dispositor," a sign ruler or ruler or a ruler of planets and points in a sign. For example Gemini is said to represent singers, students, lawyers, countries such as the United States (nations, towns and large organized land regions are usually represented by signs rather than planets) and diseases of the lungs and Saturn is said represent the old, death, authority figures and places of construction.
