All of sign

Low resolution?

Original drawing is an artist's impression of an architect's plan, transplanted onto a signboard, photographed at a distance to put the sign in context of the rest of the sign and its location on reserve.

Purpose of use

The sign indicates, as per the article, what has happened to the existing building, and the fact that the reserve has been set aside by council. It also enables a public record of what an early version of the new building was to have looked like, and supports commentary on documented reactions to that design. All of which contributes to a historical understanding of the controversy over the resource consent issue. Finally, its important for later comparison with whatever does get built.

Replaceable?

No
