[edit] Welcome!
Hi Siesatia, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!
- Editing tutorial, learn to have fun with Wikipedia.
- Picture tutorial, instructions on uploading images.
- How to write a great article, to make it an featured article status.
- Manual of Style, how articles should be written.
Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :
Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

[edit] In regards to my recent edits
I apologize for my edits to the Space4k page. I thought I was cleaning up vandalism. I'll be more careful next time. --Ann Stouter 12:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism report
In the future, do not report users for vandalism for merely making edits you disagree with. Engage them in discussion. You do not "own" the articles you contribute to. Describing another user's difference of opinion as vandalism is a violation of Wikipedia:Assume good faith and Wikipedia:Civility. Mangojuicetalk 23:56, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Don't discuss your disagreement with User:Nbg13 with me, discuss it with him. The comment you left on my talk page boggles my mind, there are so many things wrong with it I don't know where to begin. Let's start out with the piece of the article you keep readding that Nbg13 has been removing. I suppose you're adding information but as Nbg13 has said in edit comments, it does seem somewhat like a "plug" for the Imperium. Also, it may be unimportant information that others disagree ith. So you see, there's plenty to disagree with honestly and legitimately. Calling the removal of those couple of sentences "vandalism" and simply reverting back and forth without discussion is not productive and will only escalate the conflict. As a matter of fact, you are close to earning a block for repeatedly reverting: see WP:3RR. Real vandalism is never a matter of opinion, it's blatant and clear. Your discussion should take place on Wikipedia, so that others can get involved too; it may be that more editors will be needed to work out a disagreement, so keep it on-wiki. As for notability, you will have to do better than simply claiming that the community is "much more evolved" than others (if that's even a claim of importance) or that users are allowed to design the in-game pictures. What is needed is to back up an interesting claim of importance with an independent, reliable source -- something written by someone other than the game producer itself or a fan, and published in a source with editorial selectivity. That you say "I don't see why this is different then explaining how a government works or how organizations work" is amazing to me. Do you really elevate the importance of this game to that level? You have to explain why this game is important from the perspective of an outsider, and all that's there right now is that it exists, which is probably not enough. Even once you do that, the article should be about the game, not a game manual or strategy guide. Space4k has forums and fansites, but Wikipedia is not for that kind of thing -- see WP:NOT. [edit] Space4k
Do not warn people for maintaining the NPOV policy on wikipedia. If you continue to make edits that are not neutral and unbiased, along with warning those who attempt to do so, you will be reported. Wicked Dude 03:59, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of SimTerra
A tag has been placed on SimTerra requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. // Chris (complaints)•(contribs) 05:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
