The Sierra Club Foundation is a public charity whose mission is to provide financial support to the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations for tax deductible work. The Sierra Club Foundation funds a range of environmental projects which fall into the three general categories of public education, litigation, and training.
Since 1960, the foundation has funded tens of millions of dollars worth of important work, from small local projects costing a couple of hundred dollars, to large, multi-year campaigns which require millions of dollars to support.
The financial support for the foundation comes from individual donors and foundations who recognize that it is the most effective organization to sponsor important environmental work.
